The U.S. Department of Labor reached a settlement with a company after an employee who fell from the fifth story of a multi-unit building at a worksite in Bayonne last fall died, the agency announced Thursday.
The settlement with Granite & Marble Services of Linden followed an inspection by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. It was prompted by a report from the Bayonne Police Department saying a worker died after falling at the job site in October 2023, authorities said.
