Former president Donald Trump has claimed he’s “an innocent man” after a jury found him guilty in his criminal hush money trial on Thursday.
A New York jury found Trump guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records in a scheme to illegally influence the 2016 election through hush money payments to a porn actor who said the two had sex.
Trump spoke to the media outside the courthouse following the verdict, looking angry and red in the face.
The former president said: “I’m a very innocent man…This was a rigged, disgraceful trial…This was done by the Biden administration in order to hurt a political opponent. It’s a disgrace, and we’ll keep fighting. Our country has gone to hell. We’re a nation in decline.
