
ORLANDO, Fla (WKRC) – A state’s highway patrol uses marked police semis to make traffic stops.
According to WKMG, images of a marked big rig with police lights went viral four years ago and left many people with one question: Does the Florida State Highway Patrol actually use semi trucks to pull drivers over?
Per the station, it was true in 2018, and still is today.
“There are several divisions of the Florida Highway Patrol. One of those divisions is the commercial motor vehicle enforcement troopers, aka CVE,” Florida State Trooper Steve Montiero told WKMG.
Trooper Steve explained to WKMG’s reporters that CVE troopers are dedicated to enforcement efforts on commercial motor vehicles.
