
A little chunk of history washed ashore on Cape Cod last week.
Part of a decades-old drone plane was found on Marconi Beach in Wellfleet last week, the Cape Cod National Seashore said in a post on Facebook on Wednesday.
“It appeared to have been in the ocean for some time, and staff worked together to get it off the beach before it was swept away by the incoming storm,” the post detailed.
National Park Service historian Bill Burke examined the object and determined it was the fuselage of a Remote Control Aerial Target (RCAT).
