A rescue cat getting comfortable with her new owner the minute she was adopted has melted plenty of hearts online.
When rescuing a pet, it can be nerve-racking wondering how long it will take them to adjust to their new normal and feel comfortable in the different surroundings. That’s exactly what Jeremiah Carter was thinking when he adopted Ellie the tabby cat.
Carter, of Phoenix, Arizona, rescued the cat in March and he told Newsweek he was initially warned that she was “very shy and timid” around people. But he really didn’t have anything to worry about because she seemed to settle within minutes.
