The earthquake was centered in Lake Ontario and could be felt throughout Jefferson County.

The earthquake occurred at 11:45 pm on Friday, June 28, with a depth of 10.0 km.
Those living in parts of Canada along with central and northern New York could feel the shake of the earthquake.
Several residents reported feeling the earth shake, but mistaking the shaking for thunder, CBS affiliate WIVB reported.
No one has been injured during the earthquake, officials reported.
