Rain is continuing across large parts of Australia ahead of Easter celebrations amid fears a massive 7000km rain band will wreak havoc over the long weekend.
Popular holiday destinations in Queensland like Noosa, Mackay, Townsville, Cairns and Hamilton Island are forecast for heavy falls of 15mm on Thursday.
Showers will ease on Good Friday but up to 5mm of scattered rainfall will continue to impact much of the east coast throughout the long weekend.
Southeast Queensland will continue to be pounded, with up to 70mm of rain this week with Fraser Coast and Wide Bay to receive falls of up to 100mm.
