
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The City of Jacksonville designated Saturday as a Heat Emergency Day because it’s the third consecutive day a Heat Advisory has been issued for Duval County.

The maximum heat index is expected to be between 108 F and 112 F.
Cooling centers are available at various City of Jacksonville facilities:

All COJ Public Libraries

COJ Community Centers

COJ Pools and Splash Pads
These facilities will operate during their normal hours.
The Jacksonville Transportation Authority will provide free rides to the cooling centers. Riders must tell bus drivers that they are traveling to a cooling center.
