Mayor LaToya Cantrell issued a proclamation to recognize June 11 as “Back That Azz Up Day,” in celebration of the 1999 hip-hop hit song and its music video released by New Orleans’ one-and-only Juvenile, the rapper announced Tuesday in an interview with local TV station WVUE.
Tuesday marked the 25th anniversary of the music video released for “Back That Azz Up,” a second single from Juvenile’s four-time platinum album “400 Degrees.” The bounce anthem was produced by Mannie Fresh and features Lil Wayne, both of whom are hip-hop legends from New Orleans.
