A man’s sudden death outside a fast-food restaurant in Newbury Park Saturday morning prompted an investigation by major crimes detectives.
After the initial investigation, authorities believe the fatality was likely due to a medical emergency, said Ventura County Sheriff’s Capt. Ken Truitt.
The incident occurred shortly before 5:50 a.m. at the drive-thru entrance to the In-N-Out Burger at 1550 Newbury Road, Truitt said.
