
FLIPPIN, Ark. (KY3) – A heroic act delivered by horseback.
Last month, severe rains swept through Flippin, Arkansas, leaving some in the area stuck in their home for days. What originally started as a welfare check turned into a vital delivery for one elderly couple.
“That’s what we do. We serve our community,” said volunteer firefighter Kristopher Rodgers.
Riding horses nearly all his life, his horseback riding came in handy for a vital delivery.
Staff at Baxter County Regional Medical Center told the fire department that it was nearly impossible to deliver medicine to the couple because of the condition of the roads due to recent storms.
