
Plans have been drawn up that could see thousands of new homes built in the Cotswolds.
A leaked document revealed that Gloucestershire County Council wants to construct 23,000 new homes between Cirencester and Kemble.
The proposals have been met with anger over fears that doubling the area’s population would impact the area’s natural beauty and character.
Joe Harris, leader of Cotswold District Council, said the plan would be like building a new city the size of Milton Keynes.
