Spokane, Washington, was once – as recently as 2009 – called the ‘Scam Capital of America,’ by Forbes, owing to a large number of fraudulent business endeavors stemming from the city due East of Seattle.
But now, in a post-pandemic, tech-centric world, the city with a metro-area population of about 550,000 has become appealing for couples looking to transition to their golden years, as well as younger professionals whose remote jobs afford them the flexibility to choose their home base.
