Noting the lack of accountability and remorse, the state bar investigators from John Eastman’s disbarment probe urged the California bar court to not delay the sanctions recommended by the judge who heard the case, as Eastman has requested, saying Eastman “has not demonstrated that he no longer poses a substantial threat of harm to the public.”
Eastman requested the court indefinitely stay his disbarment so he can continue to work as a lawyer to earn money to fight his disbarment. Eastman, the investigators say, continues to downplay the insurrection and the damage it did to the nation, and he still asserts he did nothing wrong.
