BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – An MTA bus crashed into a Burger King in Brooklyn early Thursday morning, according to the NYPD.
The crash happened near Dahill Road and Fort Hamilton Parkway around 12:11 a.m. The bus driver, in his 50s, suffered a medical episode, according to authorities.
A witness told PIX11 News she was one of two people on the bus as it was making its final stops. The woman, a nurse, said the bus began picking up speed and swerving into grass in the moments before the crash.
“The bus started speeding up quick; you have to think quick on your feet and before I knew it … We [were] in the Burger King,” she said.
