
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Booze, Belts and Burns. It’s the slogan authorities have coined this 4th of July. They want you to stay safe on the roadways and in backyards. Drive sober, buckle up, and don’t get burned from fireworks.
“Be overly safe, people will think their fireworks, I can buy them over-the-counter, they’re safe,” said City of Bethlehem Deputy Fire Chief Craig Baer.
They can be safe if used properly.
Steven Truiett with Phantom Fireworks said, “We like for the fireworks to only be used by sober adults and then to keep a nearby water source for emergency purposes only.”
