
The Miami Dolphins and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa agreed to a four-year, $212.4 million extension, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported on Friday, per sources.
The deal — the latest agreed to this offseason by a star quarterback — ends the uncertainty under center in South Beach as questions persisted about the level of commitment Miami had for the No. 5 overall pick of the 2020 draft.
Tagovailoa seemed to end those questions, however, during the 2023 season as he led the Dolphins to a second consecutive playoff appearance while starting all 17 games for the first time in his career en route to a Pro Bowl selection.
