HUDDELSTON, Va. (WDBJ) – One person was electrocuted and two others were hurt after an incident Thursday at Smith Mountain Lake. According to the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred at a home at the lake early in the morning.
The Smith Mountain Lake Marine Fire and Rescue Department says fireboats were dispatched around 4 a.m. to the Craddock Creek Marina for reports of a drowning at a dock.
Responders say a man from Colorado was transported to a hospital, where he died from his injuries, and two other people sustained injuries, but were walking around by the time responders arrived. Deputies say the man was visiting friends with his family.
