
LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The Lincoln Police Department arrested a man in connection with armed robberies at two O’Reilly Auto Parts stores in July.
After a lengthy investigation, 31-year-old Jamal Carr of Lincoln was taken into custody and charged with two counts of robbery.
The first robbery happened on July 14 at the O’Reilly Auto Parts store near 84th and Adams streets, and the second took place on July 24 at the store near 48th and Holdrege streets. Both happened as the stores were closing.
In both incidents, a black man and a white man entered the stores carrying a sawed-off shotgun. One of the men would point the shotgun at an employee before demanding money. Police said the men would then enter a backroom and access the safe.
