WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — If an officer pulls you over with a K-9 unit and suspects drugs are in the car, you must get out and let them search.
A recent Florida Supreme Court ruling says this does not violate your Fourth Amendment right to deny a search and its within officer guidelines to ask you to get out.
Some were still concerned this violates a person’s Fourth Amendment rights, which protects people from unreasonable searches and seizures by the government.
